This is not a drill–Beyonce finally won AOTY! After more than 15 years as a solo artist and 5 nominations in the AOTY category, Cowboy Carter earned the night’s biggest award! We know our good sis was completely taken aback and speechless as she was near a loss of words when accepting her award. Cowboy Carter marks the first time a country album wins Album of the Year. It is also the first time a country album by a Black woman has won any Grammy awards. This marks a historic win and sets the tone for Muses everywhere to push forward in their endeavors, continue to do the work, and not put a timer on the process.
